Back to About EleosLaura is a Principal Clinical Psychologist and Clinical Lead for Frontline & Emergency Services at Eleos.
Her career has been shaped by extensive experience supporting individuals, teams and organisations operating within psychologically demanding circumstances. Her work combines clinical expertise with a practical understanding of the environments in which frontline professionals operate.
Prior to joining Eleos, Laura worked across NHS mental health services, including crisis services and inpatient settings, where she supported people experiencing significant psychological distress, complex mental health needs and periods of acute crisis.
Alongside her NHS work, Laura has developed considerable expertise supporting frontline professionals exposed to trauma, risk, responsibility and emotionally demanding work.
Through Eleos, she has worked alongside policing teams across multiple forces, supporting major investigation teams, leaders and specialist staff navigating some of the most challenging aspects of operational policing.
Laura has also provided consultation, supervision and psychological support to teams working within public inquiries, helping individuals and teams navigate the emotional demands, scrutiny and complexity often associated with inquiry work.
Her experience in these environments reflects a deep understanding of the cumulative psychological impact of sustained engagement with distressing material, prolonged responsibility and the particular pressures associated with high-profile investigative and inquiry contexts.
Laura is a skilled and experienced clinician, trained in Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), an evidence-based psychological therapy often used in the treatment of trauma-related difficulties. Her work combines clinical expertise with a practical understanding of the environments in which frontline professionals operate.
