Registered Mental Health Nurse
Registered with the Nursing & Midwifery Council (NMC)
Back to About EleosLiam is a Registered Mental Health Nurse and Clinical Lead for Schools & Education at Eleos.
Throughout his career, Liam has worked across child and adolescent mental health services and wider NHS mental health settings, developing extensive experience supporting children, young people, families and the professionals who work alongside them.
His professional background includes significant experience within Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS), as well as ongoing work within NHS mental health crisis services. This combination provides him with a strong understanding of both the challenges facing young people and the pressures experienced by the systems supporting them.
A significant part of Liam's career has involved working at the interface between health and education, helping schools, education leaders and safeguarding professionals respond to increasingly complex emotional, behavioural and mental health needs.
This background means his work within Eleos is informed by a genuine understanding of what schools and education systems are actually navigating — not generic wellbeing theory applied from the outside.
Alongside his NHS work, Liam plays a key role in leading Eleos's schools and education portfolio, working collaboratively with schools, trusts and wider education settings to strengthen wellbeing, support safeguarding practice and develop more sustainable approaches to supporting staff and pupils.
Helping schools and trusts develop approaches that genuinely support staff through emotionally demanding work, without losing sight of the realities of busy educational environments.
Supporting organisations to develop psychologically informed approaches to safeguarding that feel practical, embedded and sustainable in practice.
Working alongside headteachers, trust leaders and safeguarding professionals navigating complex responsibility, emotionally demanding situations and increasing pressure.
Helping organisations build the structures, understanding and capacity to support both staff and young people more safely and consistently over time.
Liam has also contributed to Eleos's work supporting public inquiries, bringing experience of working within complex systems where individuals and teams are navigating scrutiny, responsibility and emotionally demanding work.
This work reflects a broader understanding of the cumulative psychological demands placed on people required to engage with distressing material over extended periods while continuing to function professionally and responsibly.
As Clinical Lead for Schools & Education, Liam helps organisations develop practical, psychologically informed approaches that support staff wellbeing, strengthen safeguarding cultures and contribute to healthier, more sustainable school communities.
His work is shaped by a consistent commitment to creating support that is grounded in the realities of educational life — practical, accessible and genuinely useful for the people carrying responsibility within it.
Alongside his Eleos role, Liam continues to work clinically within NHS services — bringing current, frontline understanding to everything he does within education settings.
